Abstract
The present study numerically investigates the stability of NH3/H2/air premixed flames in a microscale Swiss-roll combustor with a bluff-body. The results demonstrate that the hydrogen blending and the addition of bluff-body in Swiss-roll combustor significantly improve flame stability. Moreover, a novel flashback phenomenon at high inlet velocities was observed under high hydrogen blending ratios (30% and above). This phenomenon is caused by enhanced heat recirculation due to elongated flame structures at high inlet velocities.
