Abstract
As core thermal equipment in industrial thermal systems, heating furnaces have garnered significant scholarly attention due to their critical role in determining energy efficiency and emission characteristics. Persistent technical challenges, including incomplete fuel combustion, low heat utilization efficiency, elevated flue gas pollutant concentrations, and suboptimal flame temperature distribution, necessitate systematic innovations through combustion dynamics optimization and structural reengineering to facilitate industrial green and low-carbon transformation. In this study, a combustion simulation model specific to water-jacket heating furnaces is established to quantify combustion temperatures within the fire tubes of three furnace configurations: the prototype, a dosage-optimized variant, and a Venturi burner-structured optimized design. A thermodynamic analysis framework is further developed to evaluate exhaust gas temperatures and heat exchange efficiency across these configurations, enabling a comprehensive energy-saving performance assessment. The results demonstrate that respective efficiency improvements of 3.5% and 18.8% are yielded by dosage optimization and structural innovation, with corresponding energy savings of 0.033 MJ and 0.216 MJ achieved. These findings effectively mitigate the high energy consumption bottleneck in practical applications. A validated technical scheme for structural optimization of water-jacket heating furnaces is provided by this research, contributing to the advancement of high-efficiency, energy-saving, and low-carbon industrial thermal equipment.
